Curators Sophia Sky and Andrew Moran have cultivated a garden of artists whose deviant delights are sure to delight and terrify. The work that will adorn the walls of Gallery Erato will encourage your to explore the dark depths of eros. We are honored to host the works of these creators who are bringing their amazing works to our walls at Seduction. These works of art will be on display at Gallery Erato for the whole month of October. We invite you to come see the art early and purchase the piece that ensnares your heart.
The soft opening of this collection will be on Thursday, October 3 from 6pm until 8pm. Come meet the artists at this free reception during Pioneer Square’s First Thursday Art Walk. Free parking is available at participating garages and street parking is free after 6pm.
During Art Walk, we will be offering complimentary tickets to Seduction: Masquerade of Shadows to anyone who purchases one of the handcrafted, leather masks on display by James Corey.
Seduction: Masquerade of Shadows is also a grand party to celebrate these artists who bring eros to life. Attending on October 19 also includes the special treat of meeting and talking with the fabulous people listed below.
Charde’ Brown
Self-taught artist Charde’ Brown from Auburn, Washington creates conceptual work with acrylic paint, mixed media, and soft/oil pastels. It first started out as a means to escape social stigma, but seeing the impact it had on others, it began her journey of becoming a visual artist. She explores feelings, ideas, and past experiences via her artistic self-expression. Brown has found solace and therapeutic support in art, which has enabled her to manage her struggles with mental health.
Brown’s passion for dancing and movement is evident in her body-positive, emotion-provoking, and empowering nude artwork. Through her own personal experiences, she connects with her audience and provides an escape from social stigma. Her works illustrate her mission to raise awareness of the impact that trauma can have on a person, as well as resonate with my audience and encourage others to also begin their healing journey.
Dave Clay
Dave Clay is a figurative and landscape painter based in Seattle, WA. His work uses the human figure to provoke emotional interpretations from the viewer’s own experiences.
Feral Maz
Feral Maz is a visual artist inspired by folklore, biology and world puppetry. A fan of all things technical, Maz draws on their experience as an architectural welder in the creation of their work. Through sculpture, puppetry and costuming, Maz invites viewers to explore difficult topics including trauma, sexuality, gender and mental health.
Genea Morrow
Genea Morrow is a self-taught artist and creative entrepreneur residing in Seattle. Her interest in art began in 2012 but veered in the direction of modeling and photography; it came full circle in a figure drawing class in 2017. She then took the time to fall in love with creating shapes out of shadow work using charcoal as her medium. It wasn’t until 2021 that she started to play in paint. Genea began a fulfilling career co-owning a children’s educational toy store, J.I.L.L.’s Toyshop, and launching Black Omi Art Co. Though her journey wasn’t always easy, she often opens up about her struggles with imposter syndrome and how she continuously works on her insecurities surrounding her late start to paint. She now creates paintings that tell her story, a story heavily influenced by her history with religion and spirituality, overshadowed by her exploration of her sensuality. Her work is centered around creating the feeling of familiarity, power, and freedom. To highlight the internal battles of feminine and masculine energies women may feel.
Hannah Smoot
Hannah Smoot is a surrealist painter based in Los Angeles, California.
Isiah Blake
Leatherworker and craftsman with a focus on costuming and prop-making. Isiah utilizes leather, canvas, metal and various found objects to create apocalyptic bondage masks. In the last couple years he has pulled inspiration from icons of the horror genre, tapping into societies collective desire for and repulsion from the monstrous.
James Corey
James Corey is a leather mask maker from Seattle who has made over 1400 masks since March 2019. The mask making process every day allows them to turn their anxiety, fear, and self-doubt daily into something true, beautiful, and good. This practice emerged out of a confluence of events in 2018: A Commedia dell’Arte mask making workshop in Florence, their entry into Jungian psychotherapy, and a necessity to take their hypomania, or extra energy, and channel it into a creative outlet.
In Jungian psychotherapy James learned about the ego, the mask we show others. They learned about the shadow, that which we hide from others. They experienced the process of holding their shadow up into the light of personal reflection and witnessing it. These masks are a physical manifestation of their individuation.
Jim Duvall
Jim Duvall was born near Canada and is heavily influenced by the politeness of Canadian institutions such as ice hockey and parliamentary politics. They then embarked on a career in porn on this new medium called the WWW and the Mosaic browser. Currently they are a sexuality activist and artist, teaching and taking pictures in Seattle WA.
Miguel Eduardo
Miguel Eduardo creates work by the name Seeking Soma Art. Miguel considers himself a conceptual, pop-surrealist and visionary artist. His work is centered around non-ordinary experiences; around the erotic, mystical, mythical, and psychedelic.
Myron Curry

T. Erin
T. Erin is a multimodal artist who resides in Seattle with their service dog. They have far more creative ideas than they have time but squeeze in as much arting as they can as a sanity valve.
